Recently I discovered that the posts I wrote for the blog Babies Are Fireproof during the early days of Katrina evacuation in 2005 - i.e. the first month - are no longer available to the public. (BAF has gone private these days.) I'm going to re-post them here over the next day or two. Hopefully nobody will be confused, in a War-of-the-Worlds-like manner, and think that hurricanes are swirling into the Gulf Coast again. (Technically, it's still hurricane season until the end of November.)
Many thanks to Corbin Collins for finding these posts in the depths of the dusty BAF archives, and sending them all to me.
