Awesome news. The question I have is this: What did you think of it?

Suzanne Kendrick

Hello Paula, We just met briefly at the Ladies Litera - Tea over lamingtons. I thought of you as Fiona Farrell read her story about baking and mothers and daughters. Wasn't it fantastic? It so perfectly captured NZ. Anyway, have been looking up the writers online now and found out to my relief that your book is "A parody of chick-lit novels..." which sounds interesting. Now that sounds more interesting. Will be practicing my lamington skills and hope you get over your jet lag.

TLB: it's a REALLY good book. And I'm not just saying that because T. Middy's glowing review is quoted on the second NZ edition.

And Suzanne - I really enjoyed the event today, especially Fiona's reading, though I kind of regret stuffing my face with so many lamingtons and melting moments during afternoon tea. Whenever I come home to NZ, I can't refuse delicious food, especially if it's from the Edmonds Cookbook.

Well, I went out and got it today. I was impressed that my local bookstore had it in stock.

I will report back when I finish it.
